At SPECTRUM PECUS, we are devoted to pioneering research and development, ensuring that our esteemed customers always have access to cutting-edge technology.
WHAT IS A PECU?
PECU is an acronym for Photo Electric Control Unit. A PECU is an electrical device which comprises of a photo electric sensor responding to variations in illuminance combined with a means for switching an electric load. Typically a PECU will automatically switch on a lamp (or any other electrical load) at sunset and automatically switch off the lamp again at sunrise.
ADVANTAGES OF USING PECUS
Although other electrical devices may also be switched with a PECU, PECUS are mostly used for the automatic switching of lamps. PECUS are one of the most effective means to switch (street) lights because switch-on and switch-off occurs at precisely the correct daylight illuminance levels.
The PECU, or Photo Electric Control Unit, is a transformative solution offering a multitude of advantages in the electrical industry. Its precise timing ensures significant energy and cost savings, avoiding early switch-ons or late switch-offs. PECUS adapt flawlessly to weather and seasonal changes, optimizing illumination under varying conditions, maintaining an optimal balance between energy efficiency and lighting requirements. Moreover, in geographically diverse areas like mountains and valleys, individual lamp fittings enhance efficiency remarkably. PECUS prioritize illumination, starting in darker areas and gradually extending to brighter regions as the sun sets. Consuming less than 1 watt, PECUS exemplify energy efficiency while boasting an impressive service life exceeding 15 years. With their low maintenance requirements and economical pricing, PECUS provide exceptional long-term value for sustainable and reliable lighting solutions in today’s energy-conscious projects.
